book for Chow lovers put together by long-time CCCI members & Chow
judges Bob & Love, portable & pocket sized !. Many color
pictures of Chows, several interesting insights on Chow ownership.
HOW TO RAISE AND TRAIN A CHOW CHOW
Clif Shryock, (1983, 96 pages). A soft-cover book with some Chow specific information and photos, as well as general dog information.
CHOW CHOWS
Edited by Beverly Pisano (1980, 125 pages). Part of a series of breed books, with some specific Chow information.
THE CHOW CHOW
Ann Katherine Nicholas, (1984), 320 pages). Written by famous all-breed judge, 122 illustrations.
THE BOOK OF THE CHOW CHOW
Dr. Samuel Draper & Joan Brearley, (1977, 576 pages). The most extensive work available on the Chow, containing hundreds of photos, grooming information and history of the breed and noted kennels.
THE WORLD OF THE CHOW CHOW
Dr. Samuel Draper and Joan McDonald Brearley (1992, 525 pages). Basically Vol. II of the above bringing Chow history current.
